Tom joined GMS in 1997.
Having graduated as a Building Surveyor from the Polytechnic of the South Bank in 1986, he spent a short period in the City with Dron and Wright before joining the family surveyors Gibbon and Rogers, becoming a Partner in 1993. He moved to GMS as Property Director and became Managing Director in 2005. Tom’s interests follow all the S’s: sailing, skiing, shooting and… s’ycling.
Jamie joined GMS in 2004.
He spent 20 years in the Property Fund Management sector, latterly at Threadneedle Investments and is a fellow of RICS, with a post-graduate Property Investment Diploma from the College of Estate Management. A keen rugby supporter (though thankfully not playing anymore) and member of MCC, Jamie lives in Kent and has a grown-up son.
Jason joined GMS in 2017.
After graduating from Reading University, he has worked for over 20 years in various market leading businesses, most recently at Grosvenor Fund Management where he was the UK Head of Transactions. His main specialisation throughout his career has been the Central London market. Jason enjoys rural pursuits, cycling, skiing and spending time with his family.
Bernie joined GMS in 2003.
She previously had a career in law, latterly as a solicitor at City law firm Lawrence Graham.
Bernie used to sing in a band and loves going to music festivals, particularly Glastonbury, in her old VW campervan.
Kerry Louise Alden
Kerry joined GMS in 2016.
She had a career for over 25 years in financial services, latterly in the employee benefits sector at the City based firm Smith & Williamson.
Kerry lives in Kent with her son, dog and three cats for a bit of chaos and company. She enjoys music, cinema, theatre and travelling.
Sharon joined GMS in 2005
She leads the residential property management team based in Bayswater. With over 30 years in the industry, she has a strong background in the residential sector, with experience in sales, rentals and property management. Sharon is a dog lover (she has three) and loves travelling and socialising.
George joined GMS in 2001.
He graduated in Accountancy in 1988 and in the same year relocated to England from Scotland as a finance trainee with Tesco. He then moved to a shopfitting company where he ran a small accounts department for 13 years. George was appointed to Head of Accounts at GMS in September 2013.
Robert joined GMS in 2008.
He worked for nearly 20 years in both General Practice and Building Surveying positions after qualifying as a RICS Chartered Surveyor in 1997. Robert manages both the residential and commercial property portfolios as part of a team, ranging from cyclical maintenance works to large-scale redevelopments.
Maisie joined GMS in 2014.
She became a Chartered Building Surveyor in 2008, after gaining a degree in Architecture and an MSc in Surveying. Maisie has worked for a number of well-known property consultancies and has particular experience in renovation projects and design-orientated schemes.
James joined GMS in 2015.
James became a Chartered Building Surveyor in 2009 having spent his formative years in the Bristol property market, before moving to New Zealand. He relocated back to the UK in Summer 2015 following 6 years in NZ, where he worked initially in commercial property before a successful few years in-house for a leading company in the power generation industry.
James’ extracurricular interests include target shooting, cycling, rugby (spectating), skiing and triathlons, when time permits for training.
Wendy joined GMS in 2011.
She has been in the residential lettings industry since 1992, working for a number of large estate agents in different roles, gaining experience in lettings and property management. She joined the residential team in Bayswater as Lettings Manager. She collects antiquities, and enjoys live music and spending time with her family.
George joined GMS in 2003.
After a short career in the army, he had a temporary job with the DHSS as a filing clerk before moving to a London law firm in 1983 and working his way to the trust department via the post room and the accounts department.
Carol joined GMS in 2007.
She had a long career training in all aspects of financial accounting at a local engineering company before moving to London in 1989 to specialise in property management accounts at a large firm of surveyors. Before coming to GMS, Carol gained varied experience in legal accounting and the property sector, including heading up the accounts department for a small property management agent.
Ben joined GMS in 2014.
After university, he worked in a variety of firms before taking up a GMS apprenticeship. Ben has furthered his role by completing a Level-3 NVQ in Business Administration and was appointed to a permanent position with GMS. He applies his analytical mind both to his work and strategic games such as chess, poker and Hearthstone.
Ivan joined GMS in 2013.
After starting as a GMS apprentice in the accounts department, he completed a Level-2 NVQ in Business Administration and has a permanent position in the team. Ivan’s desire to learn and willingness to outperform translates to his work ethic, as well as his personal interests such as acting, writing and cycling.
Sian joined GMS in 2014.
After working in the retail industry for two years, she began her new career in property via the GMS apprentice scheme. Sian has since completed a Level-3 NVQ in Estate Agency and was appointed to a permanent position in the residential team. She continues to enjoy gaining knowledge and skills, whilst enjoying her appreciation of retail.
